4. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Prepare and file personal or corporate tax returns where engaged to do so.
- Provide bookkeeping, payroll, HST/GST, and financial-record support.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
5. Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose personal information in limited circumstances, including:
- Canada Revenue Agency (CRA): When information must be submitted for a filing or where you have authorized Taxxel to assist with a matter within our service scope.
- Service providers: Technology, email, hosting, tax-preparation, file-storage, security, and communication providers that help us deliver the Site or services.

6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably required for the service, security, legal, tax, business-record, and professional obligations that apply to the particular information. Different records may have different retention periods. Information that is no longer required is deleted, anonymized, or otherwise disposed of using reasonable safeguards.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and service. These may include encrypted transmission, restricted access, password-protected systems, spam and automated-submission controls, and secure handling or deletion practices.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Sensitive documents should be provided only through channels approved for that purpose.
8. Cookies, Consent, and Website Analytics
Taxxel uses a cookie-preference tool so you can choose whether optional analytics or marketing technologies may load. Necessary technologies used for core site operation, security, form protection, and saving your privacy choices remain available.
- Necessary: Core functionality, security controls, reCAPTCHA/form protection, and storage of your cookie preference.
- Analytics: Google Tag Manager and analytics tags configured through it load only after you choose Analytics or Accept All.
- Marketing: Optional advertising or remarketing technologies remain disabled unless you explicitly enable this category and such tools are configured.
You can reject non-essential technologies on your first visit and reopen Cookie Settings from the website footer at any time. If analytics was already loaded and you later withdraw analytics consent, the Site reloads so the optional analytics runtime is not loaded again under the new preference.
9. Third-Party Services
Our Site and services may use or link to third-party tools such as WhatsApp, Google services, reCAPTCHA, hosting providers, email services, and tax or bookkeeping software. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
10. Your Choices and Privacy Requests
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, or ask questions about our privacy practices. Some information may need to be retained despite a deletion request because of legal, tax, security, contractual, or professional obligations.
To make a privacy request, contact us at fileyourtax@taxxel.ca or call +1 (647) 461-0361.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children for independent use. If information relating to a minor is required for a tax or family service, it should be provided by an authorized parent, guardian, or client as appropriate.
